BNI Policies
Networking requires committment. Founded in 1985 by Ivan R. Misner, BNI provides a positive, supportive and structured environment for individuals to further their business by getting referrals.
The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of people who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking.
They are a team.
BNI members have a responsibility to comply with the organisations policies. These include:
The meeting begins promptly at 7:00am and is over at 8:30am
Only one person from each profession is permitted to join a chapter
All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business
Attendance is critical - members are allowed three absences without a substitute every six months. More than this and they can be asked to leave the chapter.
Members are required to bring bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their chapter.
